Spirits
Spirits are beverages made by the process of distillation. The “Spirits” category is not commonly used at Drinkhacker because the vast majority of reviews we publish fall into this category. It is used only occasionally to help organize our category list (and mainly gets clicked by accident).
How to make Skittles infused vodka. I love it! Now I wonder… what other candies would make a good vodka?
Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka is one of those drinks that can get you into a lot of trouble. No, not like this stuff. Like good whiskey, Firefly goes down absurdly easy, enticing you into drinking more and more and more and zzzzzzzzzzzzzz….. well, then you’re gone. I was a skeptic: Vodka flavored with tea? Sounds…
From an airline site: Mark sends me his friend Sassy’s recipe for a new drink, The Sully, honoring Capt. Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger, the intrepid US Airways pilot: Two shots Grey Goose One splash water Cute! Needs a garnish, though… not sure what.
Obama’s in the White House. Hope, change, and all those other buzzwords are on the tip of everyone’s tongue. The economy’s in the toilet, but hey, we’ll take the foregoing as excuse enough for a new “luxury vodka,” and one with a distinctly domestic focus. Here it is: Godiva’s Caramel Milk Chocolate Liqueur, a blend of two flavors that I’m guessing you don’t need me to lay out here for you. Godiva Caramel Milk Chocolate Liqueur Review…
The Classic Malts Collection, which comprises a wide range of Scotch whiskies, recently announced a number of special edition, limited release Scotches. We got our hands on a few of them. Reviews will be posted over the next few days, but we’ll start with two from Oban. Oban Limited Edition 18 Years Old 2009 Review…
I’m not gonna pull any punches here. Stranahan’s is the strangest whiskey I’ve ever experienced. It looks harmless enough, a bright, orange-hued spirit with a relatively mild nose — almost rye-like. Though 94 proof, the nose isn’t particularly hot. Looks promising. Then the tasting. Hmmm. Stranahan’s is a rarity among American whiskeys, distilled from 100…
