Review: 2022 Langlois Chateau Sancerre AOP

There’s a reason that Sancerre is everyone’s go-to for a crowd-pleasing white wine that goes with just about anything. This sauvignon blanc-based wine is as versatile as they come, and Langlois’s expression is an outstanding one to put in your shopping cart.

Really beautiful, bright, and sunny, this wine kicks off with notes of fresh coconut before jumping straight into a bold and cleansing lemon curd character, dashed with notes of white and pink flowers to offer a clean, springtime freshness to the experience. While not overly steely, there’s a touch of mineral on the finish. Fall may not be the ideal time for this wine, but as an aperitif or pairing with seafood it’s proof that you really can’t go wrong with a well-made Sancerre any time of year.
