Review: Junglee Canned Cocktails, Complete Lineup

Finding the right surprises for stockings can be tricky, especially if you want to treat your favorite cocktail lover. Canned cocktails are a great choice this year. They mix the fun of ready-to-drink drinks with a bunch of cool flavors that can really liven up any holiday party. With their colorful packaging and tasty vibes, they make gift-giving feel festive and fun. Whether you’re shopping for someone who loves cocktails or wants to bring something unique to the celebration, these canned cocktails are a great way to bring a little cheer to everyone on your list.

Junglee is a unique brand founded by a group of passionate individuals of South Asian heritage. Recognizing a significant gap in the market for vibrant flavored ready-to-drink cocktails, they set out to create a line of beverages that not only deliver bold and vibrant flavors but also celebrate the rich culinary traditions of South Asia. The founders have thoughtfully crafted each cocktail, infusing traditional elements and diverse flavors that reflect their heritage. With a commitment to quality and authenticity, Junglee aims to provide a refreshing and exciting drinking experience for those who appreciate innovative flavors and cultural richness.

What I appreciate most about these cocktails are the ingredients. All of their cocktails are gluten-free, non GMO, kosher, and free of chemical preservatives. When creating their line of cocktails, the founders intentionally went with a 7% abv as they say they felt that was their “sweet spot.”

If you’re not familiar with the flavors, spices, and fruits of South Asia, you’ll find these cocktails to be quite adventurous. However, if you are familiar with these flavors, you will find them to be authentically representative. The packaging is vibrant and appealing.

I had the pleasure of tasting all three flavor Junglee canned cocktails. Thoughts follow.

Junglee Tamarind Margarita – Tamarind is a sour, tropical fruit sensation from Southeast Asia and India. The flavor of tamarind comes through right away here and tastes like real, fresh fruit. The tamarind adds a welcoming tanginess, and the tequila, triple sec, and citrus balance well. Margarita lovers will enjoy this twist. A-

Junglee Indian Spiced Lemonade – Shikanji or Shikanjabeen is a lemon-based drink originating in the northern part of India. This zesty cocktail’s enjoyment surprised me, since I don’t particularly like lemonade or vodka. The ginger and roasted cumin nots were surprising. If you’re a fan of sour flavors, this cocktail is for you. In the summer heat I can imagine this cocktail would be very refreshing and a little dangerous, but at 7% you can easily knock back four without falling on your face. A-

Junglee Green Mango Smash – South Asians enjoy unripe green mangoes for their tart acidity in salads and use them in various culinary dishes. Aam Panna is a refreshing Indian summer drink made from a concoction of raw mangoes and mint leaves drunk during hot summers. These elements are the inspiration for this cocktail, which is the standout of the bunch. This cocktail separates the brand from the pack, as there is nothing like it in a can on the market. The mango is tangy and slightly sweet, with a nice dose of spices to pump up the vodka base. This cocktail is fantastic on its own, but since I felt the flavors were so unique, I used a can as a cocktail mixer with tequila and bitters. Mind officially blown. A-
