Bella Sirena — yes, that label is as white as they come — is a new wine brand made from 100% Falanghina grapes from Campania, north of Naples, near Mt. Vesuvius. There’s a solid mix of fruit and flowers on this wine, a blend of apple and lemon up top, then a layer of perfume that speaks to orange blossoms, lilacs, and a light touch of salinity. Dry, amply acidic, and refreshing, with a reprise of orange oil on the finish, it’s a versatile, crowd-pleasing expression, but it particularly excels as an aperitif.
