Review: Karbach Hopadillo Juicy IPA

Karbach’s Hopadillo is mainstay beer offering in Texas (reportedly the best-selling IPA in the state for 11 years), and now you can punch up that IPA character even further with the addition of Hopadillo Juicy.

Hopadillo Juicy is a “Texas India Pale Ale made with two row pale malt, flaked wheat, light crystal, and flaked oats. It certainly fits the part, rich in body and loaded with tropical flavors — pineapple mostly, with a touch of coconut. The beer balances sweet and hoppy notes — the latter becoming more prominent as the beer warms in the glass just a few degrees — with a finish that evokes lemon peel and hints at blood orange. Nothing shy here at a 7.3% abv — 0.7% higher than standard Hopadillo.
