Review: Snowaters Organic Vodka
Snowaters is a Polish vodka, made from single estate, organic Dankowskie platinum rye, that’s slowly making its way into the U.S. (Expect this to be hard to find for the time being.)
Let’s give it a whirl.
Old World in construction, this vodka has an innocuous but mildly medicinal nose, with gentle granary notes and just a hint of cookie dough. It shines more brightly on the palate, showing a touch of vanilla, a squeeze of lemon, and a creamy texture that hits the tongue with a silky, almost unctuous character. The finish is layered with almond and buttercream, but the sweetness is again quite gentle and understated. All told it lands just this side of neutral, which is arguably right where a solid vodka should be.
