Original Recipe: The Revelation Cocktail

Original Recipe: The Revelation Cocktail

I was sipping on some Braulio the other day and thought I would explore its place in a cocktail. I put together the Revelation (named after a viewing of Hamilton, but with apologies to this 1908 monstrosity) as a spin on both the Boulevardier and the Ritten Word, with some fun twists in the mix, too. As all good cocktails, it’s an evolving recipe, so if you make one and throw a curveball at it, please let me know how it turned out!

Note: The mint in the Braulio is essential here, but feel free to substitute another amaro if you want to experiment.

Revelation
1 oz Braulio amaro
1 oz Rittenhouse rye
1/2 oz sweet vermouth
1/2 oz Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
2 dashes chocolate bitters

Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a brandied cherry.
