Review: 2018 Two Hands Angels’ Share Shiraz McLaren Vale
Two Hands‘ latest shiraz is a somewhat atypical example of the classic Australian style, featuring more acidity than expected in the form of sour cherry and some green, lightly vegetal notes. A note of chocolate cake frosting gives the wine a moderate sweetness as it builds on the palate, with a plummy, blackberry-heavy character giving it ample fruit on the body. The finish finds more chocolate and a lightly oaky character, complementing the experience nicely — and evoking iconic Aussie shiraz elements.
