Brewed in Rochester, New York (but based in Rhode Island), the Citra gives the beer a modest overtone of orange peel amidst a backdrop ample with malt. A slug of piney hops makes this beer fight a bit above expectations in the complexity arena, and the bitter finish is appropriately bracing — though never overwhelming.
