Review: Yuengling Golden Pilsner
On the burly side for a pilsner, this new brew — the first new beer from Pennsylvania’s Yuengling in 17 years — is full of flavor from the get-go. Lots of malt and some spicy notes give the lager a chewy, mouth-filling body, but the flavor tends to fall a bit flat at times, falling back on toasty grains to do all the heavy lifting. I would like to have seen a bit more brightness here, though the finish is quite clean.
