‘Tis the season for giving: Napa Valley based Rosenblum Cellars has released a new line of wines in partnership with author Joel Stein with a portion of the proceeds going to local Meals on Wheels charities. Stark Raving Wines will arrive in four varieties (red, white, Cabernet and Malbec), and will have a kick-off promotional tour featuring Stein challenging local food trucks to pair their cuisine with a particular wine. Along similar lines, Skyy Vodka will be donning a new look for the holiday season, with a portion of the proceeds going to the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AMFAR).  Thankfully, there’s not a trace of whipped cream, wasabi, or any other flavoring to be found inside the bottle. ABC News continues the media’s investigation into the latest resurgence of gin’s popularity in England. Don’t know where to start your taste testing? We’ve got you covered. [ABC News]

And finally, Casa Herradura has announced from its offices in the tequila mecca of Kentucky that it is re-designing its packaging to better reflect the contents within. While a product redesign can be a warning sign a company is trying to compensate for an inferior product, we’re glad to report that this is not the case… this time.
