Calorie Counts for Every Booze
Captain Morgan has 86 calories per shot, but Seagram’s Gin has 120.
Natty Lite: 95. Smirnoff Ice: 241.
If you’re curious how your favorite tipple stacks up in the alcohol content, caloric content, and carbs per serving, check out the Consumer Federation of America’s Alcohol Facts table (PDF link) showing you exactly what’s what in your booze of choice.
The table’s pretty limited but it’s representative of what’s on the market. Sure, you may not drink a lot of Almaden these days, but you should be able to extrapolate what your favorite wine or beer is packing in the calorie/carb department by comparing the style and percent alcohol content to what’s already on the table.
