sobieski vodka

God bless Sobieski Vodka. The company’s goal is to “overthrow overpriced vodka.” Sobieski comes at a suggested retail price of $11, and if you can find it, you can probably get for even less.

So, how’s it tasted? Distilled in Poland from rye, it had the most interesting flavor of the three vodkas I tried, with a pronounced sweetness and spicy herbal tone, a clear result of the rye used in the base. Probably not much of a straight vodka (but hardly unpalatable as a shot), it’s fine in mixers. Did I mention it’s 11 bucks?

80 proof.

I didn’t believe my girlfriend when she told me this stuff was awesome – at $11 how could it be? But I’m drinking it right now, and it’s better than a good half the high end stuff out there, and it easily spanks mid-grade stuff like Smirnoff or Skyy. Considering the state of the economy, this will probably become the vodka of choice in my house.

I’m drinking it right now and every night. I used to buy Effen and see no point in it anymore. This is amazing vodka for the money. /thank you!!!

This is a good mixer vodka without the impurities of skol/other junk. I found it at $8.99. It is a bit sweet and not really dry.

Cambion: try svedka. It is around $11.99 where I live and it is a good “straight vodka”. It has such a subdued bite I’m not convinced it is 80 proof vodka but it seems like it is. I haven’t had a vodka that is as drinkable for that amount of money.

This is the best Vodka I have ever had and I would recommend it to anyone!! No headache and it has a crisp sweet taste that makes it great for mixers or shots!! Bless you Sobieski for a great Vodka that I can afford.

I was drinking Sveka in vodka martinis due to reasonable price and good for mixing. I have since switch to Sobieski. I think it’s a little smoother, a little less bite. and mixes well in martinis. It runs around $16 – $17 per 1.75 ml in my area. For shots I prefer Luksusowa.
