‘Tis the season for giving: Napa Valley based Rosenblum Cellars has released a new line of wines in partnership with author Joel Stein with a portion of the proceeds going to local Meals on Wheels charities. Stark Raving Wines will arrive in four varieties (red, white, Cabernet and Malbec), and will have a kick-off promotional tour featuring Stein challenging local food trucks to pair their cuisine with a particular wine. Along similar lines, Skyy Vodka will be donning a new look for the holiday season, with a portion of the proceeds going to the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AMFAR). Thankfully, there’s not a trace of whipped cream, wasabi, or any other flavoring to be found inside the bottle. [PR Newswire]
And finally, Casa Herradura has announced from its offices in the tequila mecca of Kentucky that it is re-designing its packaging to better reflect the contents within. While a product redesign can be a warning sign a company is trying to compensate for an inferior product, we’re glad to report that this is not the case… this time.
