I had a bottle sent to me from a relative traveling through the area. The timing was perfect since I was hosting a Drinko De Mayo gathering last weekend. The majority of guests are fans of Patron Silver but the flavor of this new offering has dethroned the Patron. I just wish it was available without calling in favors in order to have it in Southern California.

Yeyo it’s a funny common “aka” name in Spanish speaking countries. It’s a sobriquet for “Fello” or “Rafael”. And no it’s not pronounced Ye-Yo with the acute on the “o” as in gansta ‘Yo!’. Even the label has the acute on the “e”. Anyway nice name on the product and let’s hope it ships to the east coast soon.

I’m pretty thoroughly disgusted with the marketing angle here. I’m sure the spirit is fine, again, but I’m not going to drop cash on something so condescending.

I’m a big fan of “Yeyo”. It’s got a very distinct and “soft” flavor profile — a rarity among new tequila brands.

Man, I’m sure the tequila is alright but… “Yeyo”? Really? I feel like that’s pushing “urban” targeted marketing a bit too far.
