I've been waiting for something like this for years and years. I cannot imagine how it has passed me by for so long! I can't wait to buy it today. If this can work during the day, lasting for some hours, it'll be my personal Utopia. Likewise night-time - but I have got more used to this, wakeing up bone-dry.
I have been carrying small Children's Drink sachets, rinsed out and refilled with water, discreetly 'hidden' in my shirt pocket for a very long time, taking a (relatively) discreet sip every few minutes, as necessary.
When I first started to look this up on the web a few minutes ago, after my wife spotted an article in the Daily Mail, I expected nothing more than the zero-benefit I had found from past product searches.
But the write-ups here, all being so positive, have given me renewed hope.
Wish me luck. I'm off now to the chemist, with fingers crossed.
I'll let you know how I get on.

I just wanted to say that the Xylimelts really do help dry mouth problems. It isn't hard to sleep with them in your mouth, they stay in place easily and you never realize it is there. It does give you that good nights sleep and doesn't give you the sticky morning breath that drinking can often give you. I use them for side effects of meds, but yes, they work equally as well for those drinking binges. :)
