i work in a military class six store in massachusetts and we got a whole s### load of it in. i mean almost too much. selling from 15 for a 1.75 to about 9 for a .750. it’s okay but, have any of you noticed some weird crap floating around in the golden sun bottles?

Qwert, I just did the same thing! 14.95 for a 1.75L. I was about to pay 17.10 for a liter of bacardi and I saw this and I was like “You gotta be kidding!” Checking to see if maybe it was a crappy rum but apparently we did get an awesome deal.
I got it at a Military Class 6 FYI.

I love the golden sun, but can’t find it anymore! :(
A local store ordered it in and charged $40 for the1.75, and 877liquors wants $99 for it. OUTRAGEOUS!
anyone know where to get it for $30? I’d gladly pay that. This is the smoothest rum I’ve ever mixed in a drink.

The bottle is thick and heavy and very ‘hip’ looking. I think you are paying a lot for the packaging, not what is in it. Same goes for Pyrat, very fancy package, average rum.

I have been a rum fan for more than 40 years. Both the rums are palatable but you can get much better rums for the price. This stuff is over priced by $10 per bottle.

I almost exlusively drink rum of all stripes. Tommy Bahama Gold is my favorite sipping rum over ice by far. Better than Pyrat XO Reserve by far – not as fragrant, but much smoother. I think Pyrat is too fragrant, but it’s a premium rum that many other here may have tried. You must try Tommy Bahama Golden Sun over ice. It’s really nice.
