The local discount retailer is currently offering it at $35.00, and I figured it was worth a try at that price. Overall, I would compare it quite favorably to Macallan 12, with perhaps a slightly more prominent component of floral notes on the palate and a finish that reveals stronger hints of peat. It's very good neat or on the rocks, but a splash of water only seems to mute the flavors. This is a fine whisky, and one that's going to be taking up a spot in my liquor cabinet. P.S.
